A Message from the Woman Herself

Dear Reader:

This blog is meant to explore and celebrate the fascinating world of wine with a little spunk, a little humor, and some tasteful notes and soulful reviews. I grew up in a French Italian family and wine was always a staple at our dinner table. I had the good fortune to have a mother that was an incredible chef.  Food was always enhanced at our table with wine.  These meals always brought us together and were wonderful social occasions. When I moved to the Bay Area about 10 years ago, my interest in learning more about wine was reignited. We live in the most flourishing New World Wine Region with the opportunity to taste incredible wines. And so I have and continue to do so.

I don’t claim to be a wine expert. In fact, I stay clear of the word “expert” in anything, because just when I think I’ve figured it out, there is another varietal, hidden gem of a winery, or next big bottle that I have never heard of or discovered. But, you know what?  That’s ok, because that’s what it’s all about—adventure.

I invite you to come with me on this wine adventure and explore the wonderful world of wines.

Sincerely,

Laura
